The calculation of SPI from grades is a very simple
technique.The total weight-age is given to theory i.e 70 marks for externals
and 30 marks for mid-sem exams.There are practicals worth 50 marks but they are
not included for SPI or CPI.
The marks are divided into some groups and grades and grade
points are allocated to them as follows.
